Funding
WA Speech Group provides individualised therapy support to help children and families to help them reach their full potential.
We deliver comprehensive disability services through a range of funding options. We can help you find out if you are eligible for government funding and provide information about the options available.


National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
WA Speech Group is a community-based provider of NDIS-funded allied health services. This means we can provide services to you in your home, school, work, or community setting. Evidence supports that community-based therapy in more effective and has better long term outcomes.
Plan managed.
Some families nominate an independent company to manage their funding. We bill in line with the NDIS price guide for plan managed participants.
Self-Managed
This option enables you to manage your own funds and pay WA Speech for services directly. We bill in line with the NDIS price guide for self-managed participants.
What we will bill for
When you receive our services, we bill according to the NDIS price guide in the following areas at the NDIS rate of $193.99 per hour for Speech pathology services:
Direct Services (face to face)
Such as assessment, meeting, therapy session and training
Indirect services (non-face to face)
Such as writing reports, developing programs, phone calls, emails communication and session planning.
Travel
This includes both time and kilometres spent traveling to and from appointments.
Late cancellations
You will be charged the full cost of your appointment (including travel time) if it is cancelled within 24 hours.

Chronic Disease Management plan (CDMP)
Children who are likely to require ongoing therapy from a multidisciplinary team may be eligible for CDMP through their General Practitioner (GP).
If a GP feels a child would benefit from a CDMP they can refer then to a Medicare-approved provider for five therapy sessions per calendar year, partially funded by Medicare.
WA Speech Group accepts CDMP referrals and will work with your GP and other allied health professionals to support your child.
Medicare Rebates

Children that are eligible, can request that their GP initiates an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program Referral for Allied Health Services under Medicare.
An EPC plan provides you with a partial rebate for 5 sessions per calendar year that may be claimed through Medicare.
