Sacha Pitcher

Principal Speech Pathologist

Sacha completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology from Curtin University and has been working with children and adults accessing disability services ever since.

Sacha has a background in working with children with developmental delays and disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Global Development Delay (GDD)and various genetic conditions. She is most passionate about working in early intervention with neurodivergent children, to support them to be their most authentic self. She is all about empowering parents and caregivers to support their children’s communication across their lifespan, using evidence-based programs and making therapy fun!

Tessa Deboisée de Ricquebourge

Senior Speech Pathologist

Tessa completed her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Cape Town after doing a Bachelor of Arts in English and Linguistics. She worked as a private practitioner in her home country of Zimbabwe for almost 12 years, managing a caseload of both school-aged children and adults.

Tessa has experience in working with children with language delays, speech sound disorders, literacy disorders such as dyslexia, and stuttering. She is also experienced in working with adults who have degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s, those who have had strokes or traumatic brain injuries as well as adult swallowing, voice and fluency disorders. She is especially passionate about working with adults and working with literacy, speech sound disorders and stuttering in school aged children. She is trained in Sounds-Write, LSVT Loud and SPEAK OUT

Amy Drummond

Speech Pathologist

Amy is a speech pathologist with a particular interest in early language development, delayed talking, speech sound disorders and stuttering. She primarily works with children under five, while also supporting school-aged children when appropriate.

Before becoming a speech pathologist, Amy spent nearly 20 years working as an early childhood teacher. She completed her Master of Speech Pathology at Curtin University after a career in education. Her extensive experience in early childhood education has given her a strong understanding of how children develop, learn and communicate, and the important role that families and educators play in supporting these skills.

Amy has experience supporting children with language delays, speech sound disorders, stuttering and literacy development. Her therapy approach is play-based, practical and family-centred. She uses strategies such as parent coaching, modelling, phonological approaches and fluency strategies, adapting therapy to each child's individual needs and incorporating communication practice into everyday activities and routines.

Throughout her teaching career, Amy has worked extensively with children from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Her background in Linguistics and Spanish has further developed her appreciation of the different ways children communicate and learn. She is passionate about providing inclusive support that considers each child's strengths, family, culture and communication environment.

As a mum to two young daughters, Amy understands the joys and challenges of supporting children through the early years. She aims to make speech pathology practical, supportive and relevant to everyday family life, while working collaboratively with parents and the important people in a child's world.

Amy joined WA Speech in July 2026 and is passionate about helping young children develop the communication skills they need to participate, learn and connect with the people around them.

Palavi (Pal) Parmar

Senior Speech Pathologist

Palavi (Pal) is a Senior Speech Pathologist at WA Speech in Midland. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Speech Pathology) from Curtin University and is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia. She has over 4.5 years of experience working in private practice with children and adolescents across clinic, school and community settings.

Pal enjoys working with children and adolescents aged 5–17, particularly neurodivergent children and adolescents and those experiencing speech sound difficulties, language delays or difficulties, and social communication difficulties. She has experience supporting children through NDIS and Medicare-funded pathways and helping families navigate access to appropriate supports, including GP Management plans and Language Development Centre (LDC) applications. She has also supported families with applications and pathways into services such as The NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA).

Pal takes a warm, individualised approach to therapy. She believes every child is unique and enjoys getting to know the interests, strengths and personality traits that make each child who they are. She incorporates these individual qualities into therapy to make sessions fun, engaging and meaningful, while helping children and adolescents develop confidence in communicating across different environments. Her therapy may include play-based therapy, parent coaching, individualised intervention, visual communication supports, evidence-based approaches and social communication activities. Pal is committed to neurodiversity-affirming practice and draws on a range of evidence-based approaches to support each child’s communication needs.

Pal values working collaboratively with families and other professionals, and she is committed to continuing to develop her clinical knowledge. She participates in regular supervision, peer supervision, team meetings, professional development and reviews current research through journal articles. Her professional development has included Sounds-Write, PROMPT and training related to autism assessment, including ADOS.

Outside of work, Pal enjoys going to the gym, exploring walks and trails, trying new foods and restaurants, and watching movies and TV shows. She is warm, caring and genuine, and loves bringing a little humour, banter and fun into her interactions with children and families.

Aiesha Elliott

Speech Pathologist

Aiesha is a Speech Pathologist with 1.5 years of clinical experience in private practice, working with children aged 3–15 years.

She has a particular interest in speech and language development, developmental delays, and supporting autistic and neurodivergent children. She has experience working with children with a range of presentations, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Global Developmental Delay.

Aiesha takes a playful, child-led approach to therapy, creating a safe and inclusive environment where children can feel comfortable being themselves while developing their communication skills. She works collaboratively with the whole family, recognising that meaningful communication skills are supported across everyday environments, not just within the therapy room. She also has experience working collaboratively with occupational therapists, teachers and psychologists, helping to provide a coordinated approach to supporting children’s communication and participation across home, school and other environments.

Her therapy may include play-based therapy, language modelling, functional communication approaches, and speech sound therapy. She has experience implementing and modelling low-tech Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems to support children who communicate in different ways. Aiesha has completed professional development in Sounds-Write as well as neuroaffirming practice, and continues to develop her knowledge in areas that support children with diverse communication needs.

Outside of work, Aiesha enjoys painting, collecting vinyl records and spending time in the garden. Her goal is to make therapy a positive experience where children can have fun, feel understood and build communication skills that are meaningful to them and their families.
